You will need to demonstrate experience of leading a team erecting and dismantling various temporary structures safely and within strict time constraints, continually assessing the ongoing position of the current contract that you are working on. You must be able to work on your own initiative as well as following instructions given to you. The ability to liaise with clients and colleagues in a polite and professional manner, remaining calm when under pressure, is essential.
You will have a full driving license and be an experienced forklift driver. A good working knowledge and understanding of current health and safety regulations and best practise is also required. You must be willing to work across the UK which will also include nights away especially during our peak season (during low season you will be mainly situated at our depot in Cotgrave, Nottinghamshire). Weekend work and early starts/late finishes should also be expected. Please be aware that this role will involve work that is physically demanding.

Woodhouse are always looking for motivated and reliable individuals with a good attitude to join our team of site operatives during the main event season. (April through October).
For individuals who demonstrate themselves to be a quick learner with a positive attitude and initiative, there may also be long term career opportunities to develop within the Woodhouse team. Experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
Please be aware that this is a physically demanding role which involves a high degree of manual handling tasks and you must be happy working outdoors. Woodhouse contracts are Nationwide and will involve travelling and occasional nights away.
You will be working as part of a team led by one of our Site Foreman on our clients’ venues erecting and dismantling temporary structures including Trade Stands and Temporary Stables.
You will be representing Woodhouse and working in close proximity to our clients and must therefore behave and work in a professional and respectful manner.
Transport from our head office in Cotgrave to the sites will be arranged for you but it may also be possible to arrange transport from Clifton and Nottinghamshire
The current starting wage is £8.50 per hour with hours worked over the weekend and on bank holidays paid at 1.5 times your basic hourly rate. Travelling time outside of Nottingham is paid at single time. You will also receive £13 (after tax) subsistence for each night away.

The temporary stable barns designed by Woodhouse for the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games were excellent and part of the success of the Games. The size of the stables, the width of the aisles and the quality of finish all contributed greatly to the horses’ comfort and safety.
