New, Different and Better

Combining design, materials and experience

Regular and incremental innovation is vital to being a successful family business creating memorable events with our clients.

Woodhouse is always looking for new ways to help our clients impress their visitors, exhibitors and competitors – both by improving our products and developing new ones.

Temporary Stables

It took over 6 decades of usage, trial and error to improve on the original Woodhouse timber stable erected in 1933 at the Three Counties Show. But our Quickstables are a worthy successor. Introduced in 1999, they are our first kick-through resistant, splinter-less and nail-free temporary stables. As well as being highly durable, they also improved safety and security with their sustainable sourced, double walled, recycled plastic partitions and doors. Following on, in 2008 at Hickstead, we launched our Barn Stables, in response to demand for spacious indoor stabling, offering protection from the erratic UK weather conditions.

As with all our new products, we developed our Barn Stables in consultation with our clients, and with the experience of our skilled site foremen. This temporary stabling innovation enabled Woodhouse to win the international tender for the London 2012 Games and the Normandy 2014 WEG, and we continue to develop and improve the Barn Stable range  and are now exporting them to the USA.

Clearspan® marquees

Our Clearspan® structures continue to set the standard for robust, modern trade stands. We introduced them in the 1990s to replace our tried and tested timber Shedding®. Drawing on our decades of trade stand experience, Woodhouse specified six-metre bay structure, with a heavier profile to support a wide range of client displays, an integrated banner rail and to endure repeated handling. This Clearspan® design continues to stand the test of time and has completely replaced its predecessor, timber Shedding®.

Trackways and Walkways

In the early 2000s, Woodhouse introduced our sustainable recycled hdpe Quicktrack panels to replace our historic twin-track Woodhouse oak trackboards. These Quicktrack panels are versatile, lightweight – yet very strong. Always aiming to improve, we still continue to test new panels for light vehicle access, hard standing, car parking.

Most recently, we have introduces our popular Kraiburg horse walkways.

  • I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you for everything you have done at Greenwich Park for London 2012.

It has been a pleasure working with you and your team, and I would have no hesitation using Woodhouse again or recommending you to others. I think your stables are first class and you rightfully received great credit from athletes and grooms alike. Your approach throughout the design, installation, use and derig was great. Nothing was ever too much for you. Please pass on my thanks to the rest of your team.

  • Peter – Your team have been fantastic – I know that we kept chucking curve balls your way but as ever Jack and Marcin are amazing – they just keep churning the stables and tents out and all with a smile.

  • On behalf of the Organising Committee, I’d like to thank you for the great job Woodhouse has done for the FEI Alltech WEG 2014 in Normandy.

I really appreciated the commitment of your teams that have shown high professionalism in the way they’ve managed the stabling facilities. I hope that we’ll have the opportunity to work together again soon.
